The only problem with that is the manager mentioned that the alignment is a charged item after 12,000 miles even under warranty. I said but this was related to the tranny drop. He says it could have been off before and needed it anyway.

I just don't want to drop the dough and then be stuck.

I can see your point, however, it will need to be done anyway at some point or another. May as well be now since you have issues. It should cost that much to do a 4 wheels alignment. You can worry about whether or not you can get the money back later. If it doesn't fix the probelm, then at least, you can tell them something else was screwed up during the job.

You need an alignment now, so you might as well spend the $60-$80 and hope you'd get it back later. Like XV said, there could be a chance that the problem is not related to alignment in which case the sooner you can rule that out the better, otherwise Honda will even refuse to fix that claiming it's something you did to the car after the fact. Call American Honda directly if the dealer does not do the job, refer to the Helms manual when you talk to them.

Unfortuantely, this is typical Honda "service" and as long as your car has an "H" on it you'd have to deal with this. I plan to fix this problem by making sure none of my future cars has an "H" on them. Honda owes me a couple hundred that there's little hope of my getting back from them.
