If you jack the car up from the side with the fill plug. Pump the whole quart in, then drop the car back down with a pan under it to catch the overflow, then jack it back up and install the plug, you only need one jack. This should of course be done on level ground.

Buy a 2nd bottle. It's not like it's going to waste, you can use it next time as well. It will make your life easier.

i tried to use one of the dual action transfer pumps with one hose in the bottle and one hose in the diff/tranny...but i found it to be very messy. The pump that sits on top of the bottle and pumps into the tranny/diff through a tube works well too, but i just decided to get a funnel with a on/off valve and about 5 feet of clear tubing (~$2) which is probably the easiest method i've found so far. THe funnel i use also has measurements so its easier to hit the right fill volume the first time

Exactly right! The tubing and a funnel is all I have used for filling either the trans or diff for years now and I still don't understand why so many fool with pumps.

Bad foaming. The cool gear climbing doesn't work. Generic rule of thumb, skip additives.
