My list had most of the possible protections. You don't need all of them to be "safe", especially with a 50 shot. Many folks mod their nitrous car by upping the dose. Then they blame nitrous if something went wrong. Most of the engine burn downs I have heard about are kinda predicatable. Note that some of the suggested nitrous protection things are rather simple. Like run colder plugs properly gapped. Decent gas. A reliable install.

Nitrous done the right way and warrantied by the installer...... haha, not even a 1000. I'd say 1500-2000. If you include the labor, and all the goodies. Its more expensive than most believe.

Yeah. Nitrous can be bought cheap and is often installed by folks who can barely operate a hammer. Of course they decide to start out with a big nitrous shot.

Nitrous should be installed with safeguards and by folks that follow directions or shops that have done many sucessful installs. Cheap Nitrous is sorta like buying a turbo and not requiring a manifold, boost control, gages, fuel enrichment and so forth.

Do it right and you'll be faster than an SC S2000 with maybe a 60 shot.

I.M.H.O. IF ya can't install the kit yourself then Nitrous is not for you. There is constant up keep to make sure all is working properly. Its not a get it installed and forget about it.

E30m3 is correct with all the safety features. But if ya don't get
a window switch to control when ya spray at what rpms, I would suggest ya use a moment switch instead of the w.o.t. switch to activate the Nitrous. It easy to bounce the rev limiter
in the s2000. I have my moment switch located where I have to use my shifter hand to press it. So i spray til about 8500 rpm then Release button and shift ....that way the chance of me hitting the rev limiter while spraying are greatly reduced.

Oh by the way the Modifry shift module is a great with Nitrous acts as a window switch and screams at ya when its time to shift

>>>It easy to bounce the rev limiter<<<

Most OEM rev limiters cut fuel by turning the injectiors off until revs drop. Imagine if you were running a dry shot which feeds the regular PLUS nitrous related fueling. Not good if the nitrous keeps spraying when there is no fuel... That's why a window switch would help. Down low, it prevents nitrous hits at say 1200 RPMs. Which would bend rods.

Mine just blew with a 75 shot dry kit we thought it was the rod bearings, replaced them, still clacking .. time to teardown engine.
