Default How to support engine for a week w/o motor mounts?

Since my passenger side motor mount failed, I decided to pull both out and fill them with polyurethane. They'll need a week to fully cure and I was wondering what would be the best way to support the engine for that period? Will the aluminum oil pan be strong enough or will i need to try placing jackstands underneath the brackets for the motor mounts that bolt to the engine? Thanks

Steven

I have placed engines on the ground resting on the oil pan with no problems. I am not very familiar with the F20c yet, so if you still have an engine mount or two bolted up (with two or whatever unbolted), I would suggest using jackstands like you stated.

i'd put some jackstands, with a bar of wood inbetween the pan and the jack. That should prevent damage to the oil pan.

The oil pan can support the weight of the motor.

I'd definitely put some soft wood in there between the pan and whatever is holding it up. Distribute the weight.

okay thanks. I was originally going to use 2 jack stands and a few 2x4's. I just wasn't sure the pan would be strong enough but i guess the cooling fins help to give it rigidity.
