I was talking specifically about ITBs on the S2000. Yes, there are cars that come w/ ITBs, but their ECUs are also designed to control them. In TX (I don't know about other states), to pass emissions, the tester plugs into the OBD-II port and scans the codes. Since the S2000 ECU is not designed to control ITBs, you would have to replace the stock ECU with an aftermarket one. And I don't know of any aftermarket ECUs that report to the OBD-II port... so you couldn't pass emissions. However, if you know of an aftermarket ECU (like the AEM EMS) that reports to the OBD-II port, please let me know.. because I'd love to have one.

that would totaly defeat the purpose of having FI you would be pushing air into an area and maybe the 1-2 tb's would be getting air. and also it wouldn't be forced in them just into the box. so in theroy that wouldn't work. sorry
That's incorrect. You would basically have a big airbox or manifold that enclosed all of the throttle bodies. The supercharger would force-feed the box, and the entire box would have >1 atm pressure. It's more complicated and probably bulkier than a regular supercharger setup, but it will still work.

Quote from Toda's web page:
The amount of power gained with TODA ITB's depends solely on the following: Engine condition, compression, camshafts, cylinder head flow properties, and most importantly, engine management calibration. If all conditions mentioned are optimized, typical gains range from 15~25hp on smaller displacement engines (B-series, K20A, S2000), and up to 50hp on an extensively modified NSX engine.

That claims a max of 25hp on smaller displacement engines, but it doesn't state where those gains are made. Is that peak horsepower, or somewhere in the mid-range? Is that on a stock engine, or one that's ported & polished and has free-flowing header/exhaust/etc? The dyno of an ITB setup that I saw showed gains of about 15hp peak, but 45-50 hp in the mid-range. However, it was also using a tuned ECU and an unknown exhaust setup.

Anyway... if you already have a SC on the car, I'd stick with that. I don't think you'd be happy if you pulled the SC off an put on ITBs (although ITBs sound pretty sick). And I don't think the cost : power ratio would be worth it to set up a custom SC setup w/ ITBs. But it might win some points at a car show, if that's your thing.

ITB's are the sexiest thing you can do to your car.

They look and sound amazing!

TODA is a great company but they overcharge so much ... the prices are just too wild. The only reason they survive is because they provide parts to professional racing teams.

For the price of TODA ITB's you can get... you own custom system made by a race shop w/ motec computer fully tuned...

On the note that was said "you cant make n/a same power as turbo or more is a completely BS statement." If you dont know dont say stupid shit...

N/A engine using Rotary Cam Valves make 700HP and still provide 30-35mpg... can turbo do that? no... and never will...

Are the TODA ITB's even available in the market yet? And for how much?
