Idle and acceleration issues
Hey guys, I've seached numerous topics to help me remedy this problem, but nothing came up about this specific issue.
I've been having some idle issues, for example.
From a dead stop, I put the car in gear and start to accelerate, the throttle require a little more (just a little bit) to get going or the car would shudder like it's going to stall.
When I'm going in reverse, the car definitely need more throttle to get going or it'll buck. Then when I put the car back into first gear (and not accelerating), the car would shudder.
To test something, I've tightened the throttle cable a little bit to see if this would help. For a couple of days, it did help and smooth out the low end acceleration, but then it came back again (I guess the ECU 'relearned').
I've recently had a Honda tech hook up a Honda Diagnostics computer to the car and it read that the Map Sensor Voltage ouput was reading just slightly higher than normal. He thinks that it might be a bent valve, however I don't have any CELs.
I drove my friend's 2004 AP2 (bone stock) and the acceleration definitely feels smoother from a dead stop, including between shifts.
I've done the "map wack" and zip-tied the map sensor, but this didn't really do anything. Any input would help! Thanks

Update:
I bought a new K&N Air Filter to replace my OEM air filter (it was getting dirty only after 15K miles) and it solved all my issues. I don't understand. I ordered a new Map Sensor for nothing
