This is my first post on here I am all over the Audi scene but now I have my father looking at a s2000 for his mid life crisis lol

Anyways he went to look at his first one yesterday now the buyer drove this first and he was hitting vtec and everything seemed fine. The old man jumped in afterwards and he drives very slow he told me after he was doing 70 Kilometers (we are in Canada) in 5th gear just lugging the engine to make sur the clutch would not slip he told me he did not punch it once. Once they got back to the seller house they just left the car in idle and noticed it was struggling around 400-600 rpm then the owner just reached in and turned the key off. My father asked what this was about and the owner told him these cars don't like to be driven that soft this is what caused this surging.

Any help on this would be greatly appreicated
