Does anyone have this ? Not all the time but when I am coming to a stop at a light or if I am stuck in traffic and I let the engine idle down it will act like it about to stall out. It never quits but sure ass hell seems like it is going to. Yes I know take it to a mech but I have always used the dealership and they look at me with blank stares when I mention this or any issue to them. Anyone know a good Honda mech. in the Birmingham, Al area ? Yea and one more thing. My car has pretty much always done this ever since it was new. That is kinda one reason I havent gotton to concerned.

 

This is pretty normal. Did it happen on a day where the weather was significantly different. From what Ive raed it's just the ECU going all funky, you can try and do the map sensor whack which might help. One thing you shouldn't do is blip the throttle when it seems like its going to stall it just makes the ECU even more retarded, just let it do it's thing and it should re-learn and your idle should be back to normal

 

This is as common as the cold. Don't "help" it when it dips down. Keep your foot off the gas till it stabilizes idle.

 

I know that's the common wisdom but, it might also indicate a dirty IAC or dirty idle passages in the throttlebody. I've commonly seen buildup between the throttle body and the manifold itself that will partially block the idle passages.

The TB gasket contains parts of the passages stamped into the gasket.
