Most likely a bad pcv valve. pinch hose and fluctuation should go away.

So what was the issue man? Pcv? I’m having the same issue with my s2k. As I come to a stop it stays at 1500-2k rpms.

Soapy water, sprayed from spray bottle maybe less hazardous? Looks for bubbles, associated with vacuum leak.

If you spray that onto vacuum leak, you will pull soapy water into your intake manifold. Vacuum leaks suck air into the engine.

The brake booster hose? Other places that could cause a vacuum leak besides IACV? Throttle body gasket, IM gasket, Injector seals, oil cap? Unless the TB or IM have been previously removed we can eliminate those as sources on an otherwise stock car. That only leaves the injectors, IACV,. oil cap or booster hose.
