idle issues
This all started when i changed my spark plugs for the car. what is happening, is when i'm driving i come to a red light i hold down the clutch and stop, the idle drops down below 1000 rpms and it feels like the car is going to stall as if i stop in gear with out clutching. i would rev it alittle and it would be fine again, kinda, it still below 11000 rms but it doesnt sound like it gonna stall. it worst on hot days, and even worse when i'm running the A/C.
i have tried regaping the spark plugs, oil change, checking the spark plug lines and, cleaning the maf. i am all out of ideas. Please helping me out

Have you undone the battery? It could be the ecu is relearning. In the morning when you first start the car, let the car warm up fully without ac on or touching the gas.
If you haven't already cleaned your iac valve, do that. It will take you 5 minutes and it seems to be what your problem is.

I would also agree that it could be the ecu relearning. You can also try cleaning the iac and maybe trying the map wack.
Do you hold the clutch in at the light? I normally just throw it in neutral. That may be part of the issue.
Either way our cars idle very poor. If the above doesn't help you can try to clean the injectors but poor idle is just one of the trade offs of having one of the most powerful engines per litter in a production car. I gave up trying to fix my idle a long time ago. If you think your car idles bad you can just find a local guy with a big turbo running E85, then you will think your car idles like a Lexus.

disconnecting battery is not going to do anything, you'll end up having a worse idle issue than before(potential stalling ect ect) because now the ecu has to relearn all your driving habits. If you do disconnect your battery, go on a 30 min drive around town to get all the monitors back online....youll most likely notice a worse idle than before but itll go away eventually, but return to what you were explaining in your thread.
Ive had reoccurring idle problems for months. Ive spent so much money trying to solve this. Ive taken my entire intake manny off and cleaned it, took off my TB(my old one), cleaned that. Car ran great for a few days. Then i tested my tps, saw it was low on volts so i figured the tps was going, so i bought a new TB. Car has a great and steady idle but after a while the idle starts to dwindle again and does what you explained.
I read up on cleaning the iac and i pulled mine off and checked it. It was super gummed up with black soot and so i cleaned it with carb clean and the issue went away....for a few days again....
Now, my s2k has 120K miles on it. All engine parts are original except for intake and exhaust and now the TB.
Im thinking about replacing the iac just to see if that will cure my problem...
P.s. the map sensor will not effect idle(at least what your explaining). The map whack helps on intermittent hesitation under hard acceleration.
I would start off by cleaning your iac, and if you dont know how there is a dyi on s2ki somewhere.
search it and give it a whirl.
