Default Idle problem after Vafc2 install

I recently installed a vafc2 with the vtec frog harness when I started the car up it had a a fast paced bouncing idle from 1k to around 2k and the check engine light came on. I did not have access to an obd2 scanner so i could not get the CEL code. I am almost positve its not from installing it wrong, since it was the plug and play harness it went into. Anyone have similar experences or insight on this?

You should unplug the VAFC2 and go to Autozone to have the code pulled. I suspect that it is either a defective harness or VAFC2, or the VAFC2 is configured wrong.

Actually, if you unplug the harness, the ECU will be reset and the code will be deleted. Verify that your VAFC2 settings are correct, then see if it is driveable enough to make it to an autozone.

The settings were correct on the vafc... I didnt even bother to drive the car like that with the idle. I removed the harness/vafc and reset the ecu after the cel came on. I might just try installing it again, then take the vafc out and drive to autozone with the cel on and see what the problem is.
