Default Idle question

my car idles at 1000 rpm even after it is warmed up. After 10 min or so of light driving, after an hour of pushing it, and anything in between, it idles at 1000. I think maybe ONCE i saw it dip to 900 for a sec but then back up to 1000. Is this the norm?

My ap2 at start up is at about 1543rpm depending on outside temperature but after warm up sits about 750-850rpm thats what my VAFCII tells me

No AC is not on...... You can always play around with IDLE control on the TB and adjust it if its off.

Well the shudder i was talking about i just fixed by doing the DIY IAC clean out

Here is a link for those that might be intrested!

Ill belive the VAFCII rather than the OEM Gauge..... Those things are usually off by 100 - 200 rpm

Its normal in a sense..... Over time your IAC will get built up blow by and needs to get cleaned out, your ECU will try and adjust itself to these changes but when there is too much built up it wont process everything correctly and thats when you get the shudder. Along with other reasons like the MAP sensor, this too can be fixed by cleaning the plug (not the sensor) and try putting a zip tie around it to make sure its a secure snug fit. I would try the IAC clean up first and drive around a couple of days to see if it come back.... I have 70k on my 04 and it first started doing this at around 55k. I didnt think much of it at the time but it just started doing it more often till i decided to research it on here.... Thanks to the other guys here on boards i fixed it..... Check out that link i posted on my previous post.... All the info you need on this issue is on there and talked about. Hope it helps and GL.... Oh one more thing, if you decide to clean it out make sure you take out the little rubber gasket that goes around it, its not carb cleaner friendly.
