Misfire gone as a result though I don't know how much longer they will last.
Honestly every 10-15 I would rotate 1 & 4. Then 2 & 4 and so on. Reason is I found that the #4 coil can get excessively hot over time and rotating them might help. Watch for discoloration of the coil pack too.

Good advice Pinky. I've noticed that discoloration as well. I attributed it to oil burning the coil when it seeps passed the plug hole seal (old, hard seals).

So that is why I see people number the ignition coils on this engine.

What is the cylinder order if you are standing in front of the engine?
4
3
2
1

A few companies(chasing J's, Circuit hero and Ssworxs) make vented ignition covers for the F20/22 engine made out of titanium, aluminum, stainless steel or steel.

Just a heads up boys. One out of 4 Amazon bought Denso "made in Japan" 673 2301 coils burned out on me. I bought an identical replacement and it too burned out on the first pull at only 7k rpm. I'm supercharged.

This makes me so mad that I want to buy the actual, no questions asked genuine AP2/K20 2004-5 coils from Majestic. 30520-RRA-007 $69 each.

Can't be a wiring or any other kind of electrical issue since the car works well and my old OEM coils still run but are dying out at 8k rpm pulls...

I'm running NGK coil packs I got on Rock Auto 2 years ago. They are made in China and still work just fine.

Coincidentally I'm looking at those online now!
NGK Coil U5099 for early AP2 and K20 2004-5. $54.58 on two step performance. For 15 bucks more I'd rather get the OEM ones but still, I like and trust NGK.

Where'd u buy yours?

Just for information the part number for the 2006-09 (DBW) engines is 30520-PZX-007. $150 each...

That's correct. DBW coils should not be used on 2000 to 2005 models though, in case anyone was wondering

Not just car parts either. China knockoffs have flooded the world and Amazon is easy pickings for counterfeit goods. When it comes to something that demands quality (proper air breathers, OEM parts, medical equipment, firearm stuff, medications/supliments-knockoff heart worm and flea stuff for dogs) You should go to a known reseller or the manufacturer website to order. You may pay a little more but it is for the USA and you get the quality you need. I am very suspicious of a lot of products I see on Amazon.

BTW, anything made in Taiwan is of very good quality, I have found over decades.
