You should really be fine.

If it makes you feel better though you can add some octane booster or a can of toluene from your local paint supply store.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I appreciate that I most likely won't cause any damage to the engine, but I'd rather not live with that question mark for the rest of my time with the S if I can avoid it. Like I say, I'm a bit OCD about my new baby. Particularly when you consider that while an Accord or Civic probably doesn't care what octane gas is in it... the S is a very different animal and actually does produce enough compression and power to care ( at least that's my understanding ).

I have the time and don't mind the trouble to siphon the gas into my other vehicle, so I figure I'm going to give this a try. I found a siphon pump at Harbor Freight that looks decent for $6 so why not give it a shot, right?

I guess my main question is whether I could possibly do other damage with the siphon tube down in the tank by hitting the float for the level indicator or something like that? Also does anyone know for sure... does the S have anti siphon baffles to prevent this in the first place?

Thanks again for all the help. If it turns out that I can't siphon due to baffles etc.... then all the votes of "You'll be fine" will certainly ease my mind.

Don't be crazy. Don't drive the car hard (ie. keep the rev's low) and burn up all the 87 and fill up with 93. The car will be fine...actually, you should get quite good fuel mileage.

lol!

You should move to england mate, if you had made that mistake you would have accidently put 95 in your car.

I use 99 or 102!!

You also have a different rating system that we do, so that 99 or 102 doesn't directly equate to our octane ratings. MON vs RON, and all.

dont siphon it. thats a waste of time. just use it and fill with 91 as you run out. drive easy, like others said, ecu will pull timing. there is a screen in the way if you wanted to siphon the gas. i learned this when i went to siphon gas out of the car when hurricane wilma hit. i needed gas for my generator. well, i struck out taking gas from the S. anywho, just drive it.

The ecu is smart enough to retard the the timing. Don't drive too hard and your should be fine. Maybe fill up with 91 half way though the tank but even that is unnecessary. Although, you may want to pull the ecu fuse after this tank for the car to relearn your driving habits.
