don't pull the neg to reset the ecu. not necessary. Like everyone says, just drive it - you won't hurt it. However, I would avoid detonation-causing situations, like low RPM/high load combos. in other words, don't lug it in a higher gear than needed, but follow your break-in.

I've had an '01 since 2004 and haven't filled up on anything higher than 87 since I read in my manual that the ECU will compensate, which was a week after I bought the car. That was until I went forced induction a few months ago, now my baby gets nothing but 91. I've never had a problem. Performance was not quite as good with 87, but I'm super cheap so I was okay with it.

Thanks again, guys. Just for kicks, I took a look around the my town and found a Tosco 76 station that sells Sunoco 260GT 100 octane out of the pump! It's unleaded and street legal so don't think it contains any MMT that would screw with the 02 sensor etc. VP Racing Fuels also sells Street Blaze 100 in 5 gal pails at many locations, which is also street legal. Didn't know you could even get anything over 91 in California at the pump. Anyone ever used this Sunoco stuff? I may just top her off with a few gallons of that to ease my mind, but great to know it isn't necessary.
