Default Intake Related Relocation?

To be completely honest I'm not 100% sure what this is but it's related to the intake I believe. The previous owner of my car had a homemade cold air intake that was trash on it which I quickly replaced. I was just poking around under the hood and noticed that this piece is suspended to an intake tube by a piece of thin string and is In my opinion dangerously close to the engine. What can I do to fix this? I believe I saw something on relocating that piece before but I can't seem to find it.

Normally that solenoid attaches to either the chassis brace just below it in the photo or the factory airbox (can't remember for sure). Either way I'd just secure it to the brace or wire harness and extend the vacuum lines as needed. You can bend the metal hard lines slightly to create a bit more separation between the vacuum lines an the serpentine belt.

That piece is for the secondary air injection pump. You could replace the pieces of hose with longer lengths and move it anywhere you want it. Before I did away with the air pump system in my car, I relocated that solenoid and the vaccuum reservoir (little black tank looking thing) that accompanies it to under the bracket that holds the cruise control unit. Just make sure you keep all the hose going to the correct spots or you will get a CEL.

This may help...it attaches to the vacuum reservoir...which gets bolted to the brace lol. Link has a diagram.

Stock it is bolted to the box, not the brace. Just inside the elbow connecting to the intake manifold.
