Default Issues removing transmission

Yea, so everything is disconnected from the engine and transmission, the engine is being held up my my engine lift, and my transmission is floating free under it (its being supported by a car jack) and I can't get the transmission to move back off of the engine. There is about a 2 inch gap between the engine and transmission at this point but it appears that my release bearing is getting stuck when I attempt to pull the transmission out any further, the release bearing has play in it until I pull the transmission out about a half inch further then the release bearing arm has no more play and gets wedged..... HELP ME PLEASE!!! ^_^

Thanks,

Daniel

Remove your slave cylinder. It's only two bolts. The fork will pull out very easily.

Pull out the release fork (A) from the release fork hanger. Wedge a shop towel (B) between the opening in the clutch housing and the release fork to hold the release fork in place.

Just pull it off the bearing and let it set in the trans.

Remove the slave cylinder, and pull out on the release fork until it pops free of its internal bracket.

Yep, a lot of people forget to pull it out......but most of all, don't forget to pull it back in after you done.....you dont want to find yourself having everything assembled just to dissasemble it abain to put the fork back in!
In a matter of fact I saw a post were the hole was cut out just so the guy can insert the fork without taking the tranny out again. )
