Default It's heading right during shifts

I have have noticed a nasty pull to the right at shifts under throttle lately. I know that there is a change in torque when the clutch is disengaged during a shift but this is actually changing the direction of the car. It's like you snapped the steering wheel.

Last month I changed the transmission mount along with the rubber mounts and front stiffener due to an encounter with someones spare tire landing in front of me on the freeway with no choice but to hit it dead center.

It cruises down the road straight as an arrow until you shift then it does a little sidestep. More throttle = More swerve.

27,000 miles, tire pressure on the nose and no abnormal tire wear.

Ideas?

I had the same problem and I also checked the air pressures and they were also fine. I did a visual on the tires to see any abnormal tire wear and couldn't really see any. I bought new tires and that fixed the problem. I guess the tires were different sizes somehow or wore unevenly??

I had this problem just a couple days ago to find that tire pressure was low in the left rear tire due to a slow leak from a nail. Almost thought that the diff was going on me. What a relief!

Thanks Eddie @ Jim Coleman Honda!!!!

AndyP,

Hey, Thanks for the heads up on tire presure.

I checked them this AM and sure as hell the left rear was low. I aired it up and took it out for a drive, straight as an arrow.

I'm going to get the tire checked and my eyes too.

It's a 3 day top down weekend , enjoy!

Hey Denny - No problem. As I was experiencing this same phonomenon, I noticed it got progressively worse each day. I took it in for the spark plug TSB and had Eddie check it out for me, thinking my diff was on it's way out - the first thing he said to me was " I bet it's your tire pressure". Be safe and enjoy the weekend.
