Default Knock sensor MY differences?

When swapping a F22C1 shortblock into my F20C-powered Miata race car, I noticed the knock sensor connector was broken off (this might have something to do with why I needed a new shortblock).

From what I understand,
2000 - 2005 uses part number (30530-PCX-003). List/Majestic price: 77.43/54.98
2006 - 2009 uses part number (30530-PRC-003). List/Majestic price: 161.23/114.47

Does anyone know the difference between the early and late MY parts? I'd naturally prefer to buy the cheaper, newer knock sensor. Will it not plug into the factory wiring harness? Does it have different electrical characteristics? My current, broken knock sensor threads into my F22C1 shortblock, so there is no difference there.

Thanks for any help.

The plugs should be the same unless the 06+ is different. U can use a 03 civic si sensor too, those are the cheapest.
