koni install question

After talking to the shop today, he didn't use the dust covers. He said they don't do much and don't fit well on the Konis anyway. After looking at some photos of stock this looks right other than the large washer he used on top instead of the little cup washer they come with. He used the metal tube/insert and all the other parts, just not the dust cover. He opted to use the large washer because it covers more area of the top rubber bushing than the small cup, also since he didn't use the dust boot, he had the large washer available to him.

While I am a bit disappointed he didn't install them exactly like the directions state, I do know he isn't a "bozo" and does know his stuff. He has been racing for years and sets up suspension and brakes on cars for all the high performance shops in the area, including some vehicles from Horsepower Freaks. I guess I'm just going to have to go with his experience on this one.
