139,000 miles, stock motor, I didn't think to ask an explanation so Im not 100% sure what he means by rings, but Ill just write it down as it was written for me:

1 - 1% rings
2 - 8% ex valves
3 - 5% ex valves
4 - 0%

OK for a motor of that mileage. How does it drive?

Still feels good to me, but Id like to make it to the next dyno day, see how my numbers are. If that ends up ok, do you think Im in good enough shape for a tune?

REVIVED! Just curious, at what point do I look into refreshing the motor, and what all does that entail? I'm at 148k now.

Depends on what level of "freshening" up you need. Heavy oil usage is the typical first signs of engine needing a rebuild, the trick as with the comp and leak down testing, is to determine where your using the oil, whether its bottom end ie: piston and rings, or top end, valve guides and seals. Right now your numbers aren’t bad and if your oil usage is still reasonable then you don’t need to do anything. As you put more and more miles on the car, those % by nature will increase and the results will be lower compression/power and more oil usage. There is nothing you can do to prevent this inevitable, only prolong it by providing the motor with clean filtration and good oil that’s always topped off with good change intervals. It appears by your mileage and leak down numbers that your doing pretty good, so keep it up and don’t worry about it.
