Okay so if that all worked out, mine would look just like the pic I posted above, but with the little dials on knobs like this. I guess thats my only option right now!

Those look good man! Yeah If I did those red, it would be the opposite. You would be able to see the red good and the blue wouldnt be the right color or not show up well.

This looks very nice. I was planning on going for a blue theme like this. I definitely need to get a set of these bulbs.

Do not use type B tall for the climate control, causes certain areas to be brighter than others (Hot spots). Use regular type B for a more even look.

Update. This is a bigger PITA than I thought. I got the resistors this afternoon and decided to start on the background lights that will be either white or blue. Okay first problem I ran into. The wires of the resistors are alot thicker than the tiny wires for the oem light bulbs. Since they are so thick you can't twist them in place. So my fix for this was taking every one and on the platic twist bases, and I trimmed the little peice that makes the base hold in place to get them to fit. (In first pic its circled in orange so you get the idea.) Soldering was the easiest thing of the process so far. Also, I dont think im going to do the little LED indicators for the Mute, A/C, and Recurculation buttons. My reason for this is b/c I have to put in a resistor on the new ones since they only have a forward voltage of 3 volts, so they will burn up. The resistor is just as long as the legs on those LED's, so there is no way to put a resistor in there. I also thought bout twisting it some to get the resistor beside the LED, but those LED's go into very small spots and that wont work either. So its not going to happen! I am still going to do the Fan Indicators though since there is alot of room to get a resistor in there. My fingers hurt like hell from soldering, and twisting those things up and cutting the plastic bases to get them to fit snug and right. Honestly, I am not going to attempt this again unless they are just twist in! Later ill still do a write up when I get the red LED's next week, but just realize this is not easy nor fun. Do this at your own risk! I'll be surprised if I just get these sets done! Here are just a few pics.

wow dude! that does looks like a LOT of work, looks good though! you used the oem sockets that's awesome, everybody else have taking shortcuts and just solder the leds directly to the board, props for the extra work.. now you can mass produce the LED with oem sockets and sell them LOL you'll get rich

and there's gots to be a way in doing the mute and ac buttons, it has been done before, maybe they have used different kind of leds? some that don't require resistors?
