LED Dash Lights
No problem man. I could even start it when I get those resistors at the end of next week. Ill probably have a write up done before I get the red LED's. (since im doing some of the indicators either white or blue, I dont have to show how to do every single indicator light, so dont need the red ones for the write up.)
So ill hopefully have a writeup done next weekend for you guys to have something to follow.
Small update. This was my idea on how to get rid of any hot spots that might be there since these are normal round LED's. The light isnt spread out that much, so what I did was sand the tips of the LED's so the light is scattered more. LED light is VERY hard to capture, and my camera isnt that good anyways. I tried to show the difference, but with the sanded tips there are no real hot spots, its all evened out. So hopefully this will help eliminate any hotspots that would be there. Here are some pics, remember these dont really do justice how it looks in person lit up.

Alright I got bored and wanted to see if the sanded LED would illumiate the Audio Control words since its a pretty large area for a little led to light up without a hot spot. This is the white LED, kind of a crappy/blurry pic put you get the idea. It lights it up quite nicely!
^ Not that I know of. I'll have the white background done in my AP2 and the blue done in the AP1 controls I have sometime this weekend. Possibly at the beggining of next week since I have to wait for my resistors to arrive. Ill be sure to post pics once they are completed. Ill even have most of the indicators done by then too!
No sir, I just ordered all the 3mm LED's off ebay. The ones the OP posted are the wedge type and were already set for a 12v source (no resistor needed). Mine are just normal round ones that have a forward voltage of about 3 volts, so I need to solder the resistors in to use them in our car. Also on mine I sanded the tips like that so it prevents the hot spots you get from round LED's.

I'll sure give it a try. ...but another weekend
. I just buttoned up everything up from a weekend full of S2K projects (I'll limit that grocery list to dash-related to keep this thread on focus
). I removed the bulbs from behind my RPM & Speedo area of the digital dash, installing instead a measured length of flexible LEDs (I have a diffused blue filter sandwiched in there. Came off nice. Not 'Qube' nice, but certainly 'BYS'-nice enough for me. Plus its bright enough to see in full daylight now
