Loud Clunk When I Reverse S In The Morning

Default Loud Clunk When I Reverse S In The Morning

what up everybody,

I have MY00 with a header, exhaust and intake. Lately, Ill start up my car, warm it up to like 2 or 3 bars, then reverse. When i reverse i hear a loud clunk, what is this damn noise? anybody else have this happen to them? thanks

Was it damp outside during the night? The most likely cause is the brake pads rusting to the rotors...it's a nasty sound, but no harm is done.

Yep, the same thing happens if I wash the car and pull it into the garage overnight.

Do a test...see if you can roll the car in neutral before you drive it. If it rolls free, then the clunk is not the brake pads. But I believe that it is. Mine does it too.

just a tip...dont use the ebrake after you wash your car, leave it in gear.
