lowering my vtec with vafc2
well ive had my vafc2 in for a few days, completely untuned. ive done extensive searches on the vafc library on adjusting vtec, air, fuel, throttle, and it all still seem really confusing still
i know that when you lower the vtec point you need to compesate for air and fuel and adjust throttle. i also know that to gain the full potential of the vafc it needs to be properly tuned on a dyno.
my question is, can i lower vtec without adjusting fuel and air, to gain a small amount of horsepower? or is there a way that i can street tune? whats the steps?
until i get my car dynoed and tuned i know im not gonna reach full potential power, but what are the steps i can take for a small gain until then?
thanks guys.

If your car is stock (aside from the V-AFC), then it won't hurt anything to lower VTEC 200-300 RPMs, but any more than that and you will likely loose power. Actually, since you have a CAI, you shouldn't do it. Every intake has different characteristics that will change the air / fuel ratio at certain RPMs. If you lower VTEC without tuning it, you may cause a dangerously lean condition between the new / old VTEC engagment points.
