Lubrication Engineers Oil?
Went into one of the local performance shops around here and the guy just praised this stuff. He used to race bimmers and after switching from Mobil to this the engine ran cooler. Also said that after switching to their diff oils, he never had to replace another diff on the racecar. Guy raced for 40 years, so I take him at his word, but I'm always a skeptic.

Stuff is priced to compete with Amsoil at around $11+ a quart.

I've been running LE in my diff for 2-3 years and no problems. It was my first diff change and really have nothing to compare it with. I'm assuming it is a top quality fluid and can be used with confidence.Since I do not know any better, I'm probably going to use The LE on my next change.

If you do a search for old fluid/lube threads here, you'll find that LE has an *excellent* reputation here. Slightly harder to find, maybe more expensive, but I've read that it's top-notch.

I have been using LE products for several years. They are all very impressive. Specifically, I use 8130 10W-30, 1605 SAE 110, L-X 2300 fuel additive, and 3752 grease.
I have seen some early testing of their new 8531 5W-30 Tetra Syn and it is proving to be an exceptional engine oil. I might try their new 8521 5W-20 in a 2012 4Runner soon.
Buying from a speedshop can be expensive for an already expensive product. If you find yourself becoming a user, then buy directly from LE.

For some products, they only offer bulk. The 5 gallon pail is probably the most cost effective purchase. But all engine and many gear oils are offered in 24 qt case. LE markets to fleet and industrial customers, so it wouldn't make sense to offer anything less than bulk or 24 qt cases.

I have been using LE since I bought my car in 03. It is great stuff. I just purchased a case from my local rep here in TN. $200 for a case of 24, no shipping. $150 for a 5 gallon jug. I will buy it by the gallon when I find a good way to measure it out.

Using bulk lubricants requires a good tranfer system. I started using these: http://www.forfluids.com/Oil-Safe/Oil-Safe_2/100010
They are top notch quality. I really like the pump for gear oil, especially 1605!
