Default Maint. Req. flashing .........

Hi guys,

my maintenance requierd light is flashing at start up. I read the manual and it says its becaue its ready for a service.

The car just turned over to 50,000 KMS. Can anyone tell me exactly what the do in this scheduled maintenance??

I just changed all my engine, tranny, and diff fluids right before winter and all my belts / hoses are like new.

How can I get rid of this flashing light?

Thanks.

^^ Thanks guys. Much appreciation........exactly why this forum is best of the best......very helpful

I now know how to reset the main. req. light......but i also do have a tiny rough idle right after i start the car up after i have driven for a bit......would this be due to my intake, header, test pipe, and exhaust install? If i pull the back up fuse and reset the ecu, this should take car of this rough idle right?

Its not really rough.....its just sounds like it cuts out real quick and really fast like a subtle rumble.....

Its just the time rset on the car buy the manufacturer to tell you to get the cars maintenance done at the dealer. Its something like 6500 miles that it starts blinking when the car is started and it stays on after 7000 miles. Its nothing detrimental, just reset it and keep the car maintained to the factory specs, per say oil changes and all your fluids. Put in the key, turn it half way, and hold the reset tripometer button for atleast 5-10 seconds. You might have to try it a couple times but thats all there is to it
