Default Maintenance light reset

Hi. Sorry to start a new thread about this. Does anyone have a link to the old maintenance light reset thread? I'm talking about the one that does NOT tell you to pull a fuse. As I recall, the process involved turning the key off and on a number of times. I think their may have been one or two other steps. Yes, I did a search, but could not find it. Thanks in advance.

key to middle position, hold down trip reset,(one next to the kmh to mph button) for 10 seconds. While still holding down button turn key to on position until maintenance minder light goes away.

Hi Bill,here you go:
  1. Turn the ignition to run, one position before starting engine.
  2. Press the TRIP button until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
  3. Press the trip button for more than 10 seconds.
  4. The engine oil life indicator and the maintenance items code(s) will blink.
  5. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Have your legal clerk consult page 49 of your 2002 owners manual...
