I bought a det cat with the resonator, and a Mugen ECU.
Now I'm not sure which I have to install in my car first.
On the info which I gathered, I think best will be to install the Mugen Ecu,
then install the Decat, as the Mugen ECU is going to ignore the sensor which fits in the decat.
Am I right?
Should I screw the sensor back in the decat or leave it aside and block the fitting?
Is the Cel light going to turn on with the Mugen ECU?
It shouldn't turn on at all as the Mugen ECU disables the secondary o2 sensor curcuit. You either unplug the o2 sesnor from the connector - very easy or you can use an anti fouler to reattach it. Either way will be fine.
WHat are you guys using to drill out the plug foulers, I cant drill the 1/2 inch hole. I just finished drilling for 20 minutes, and maybe drilled 8 mm.
Any suggestions. The bit I have is 1/2 " bit, but I have no idea what kind it is, if its for wood, metal, or sheetrock.
I just used some random 1/2" drill bit and don't know what it was made for but it went through in less than a minute. Try adding a little oil or something to lube everything up, it should protect the drill bit and help it spin fast and cut.
However, I drilled the thing out in stages, starting with a smaller bit and working my way up to the final size. It helps to have a drill press and sharp bits.
Bits specifically meant for wood look entirely different. Metal bits can be used for both metal and wood.
Actually come to think of it I think I did start with something smaller as well...but I also used some household oil. I think I started with something like a 3/8" bit and then moved to the 1/2"
