Default Messy Tranny fluid change..

So I changed my transmission fluid for the first time. I didnt have the proper bottle to fit the tube i used and it got messy. I estimate that I lost maybe 1/4-1/2 fluid, probably more like 1/4. So I am running on perhaps 1 3/4 quarts of fluid. Will I be all right for a bit or do I need to add more ASAP. BTW I used Redline MTL.

The transmission oil level is correct when fluid starts to drain out of the transmission oil fill hole when the car is perfectly level. If that did not happen you should add a little more oil. The amount you list is very close to correct for a fill, but may be slightly low depending on how well you drained the transmission.

also, redline is ok, but only if you plan on changing your MTF often.

probably at least half the mileage you would with normal honda MTF. redline tends to break down quickly, from what we've seen, in their diff/tranny oils.

Sorry...what is honda's suggested interval change? 30k, 60K? Not quite sure. Thanks.

If you got 1 and 3/4 quarts in there you will be fine.

Put you finger in the hole, you'll likely find the the level is perfect (at the bottom of the fill hole)
