Every time I've computed miles/gallon it comes out to about 27.5. With a 13 gallon tank that would be 357.5 miles per tank if I ran it dry which ain't gonna happen. I don't compute or even bother with this often but I usually refuel after about 250 - 270 miles and rarely put more than 10 or 11 gallons in the tank. Rarely drive in "city traffic."

Technique I learned for a consistent full tank for more accurate measurements is to (1) use the automatic fuel pump cutoff, (2) wait 30 seconds, and (3) use the automatic fuel pump cutoff again. Click - wait - click. To get fully anal use the same fuel pump.

Do you have a hardtop? Or drive top up a lot? I find top up makes a big difference. Hardtop gotta make even more.

I am supercharged with an aftermarket EMS, and I seem to average 20mpg give or take with just around town cruising and some shenanigans. When I'd put on OEM ECU and stock injectors - to pass inspection, - that average moved up to 23-24mpg.

My record was 336 miles on one tank.

Cruise control set 65-78 mph for the entire tank of gas. (Interstate I-81s through Virginia)

I can confirm from track driving that top down creates a lot more drag, so I would suspect worse fuel economy top down vs top up. It is quite significant on track. Granted this will be more noticeable the faster you are driving.

I think my best was just over 300 but I do not make a point of getting close to running out That was pre karcepts tune. And since I am tuned on 93 now my choices of gas stations is smaller so I tend to fuel up way before it gets close to empty due to that. I want to say the last time I drove it more than an hour on the highway (3 hr trip each way) I was seeing about 26 mpg. But again, I am tuned, I ran half the trip top down and I had the wing on the car.

Trip to and from Charlotte earlier this month averaged in the 27 - 28mpg range. Probably 550 miles for the weekend. Maybe 25% roof down. Whole trip back was roof up -- intermittent rain. (The new RE91RS tires did fine in the rain,)

I recall the roof down average was a couple mpg lower (25 - 26) when I recorded it on one of the Staunton VA mountain drives (OK, baby 4000' eastern mountains!).

My longest distance between fill-ups was 370.5 miles. I put in 11.95 gallons. Dunno, didn’t do anything special.

Car is basically stock.
