Default Missfire and some vibration?

I recently purchased my car and I read the stickies. I noticed that the engine has a misfire and some vibration. It has 136K on it and I wonder if maybe that's the reason and needs a tune up? Or maybe something more. I'm hoping it's not the cracked retainers but what do I need to fix this?

Lots of vibration at idle. Asked some guys who knew what they were doing. They said there was a misfire. Asked a Mech, said there was. So that's 2 for 2. I'm sure the vibration isn't good either.

Rough idle doesn't always mean it's a misfire though. But if you are for sure it is I would look at the misfire sticky. Maybe a valve adjustment is all you will need, was there ever one done?

And the vibration is when you are at idle? Or when you are moving?

if its misfiring it should throw CELs. perhaps you have a broken engine mount?

Both moving and idle

It's possible that there are engine mounts but then again, the car is 8 years old with 137K on it. Maybe it's just getting old?

Well what about other things like, what was the last modification done? What type of gas was used, spark plugs, have you checked the valve clearance, make sure the CEL light works?

like ikeyballz says if it's misfiring bad enough it should throw a CEL light.

But not always because it may not be that bad, I had a off and on misfire caused by the valves not seating properly for over a year. It didn't always throw a misfire code though.

Another thing it might be is perhaps timing is off? Does your car struggle to start sometimes? Have you checked voltage from your alternator and battery to make sure it gets sufficient power?
