Mobil 1 10w 30 high mileage
I usually change my oil with mobil 1 fully synthetic 10w30 ... but this time i didnt realize and i bought 10w30 fully synthetic "high mileage" oil ... does it make a difference? my car only has 30k on it ... should i use it or exchange it for the regular 10w30 ?

Go ahead and use it, it won't hurt a thing.
Here is what Mobil says the "high mileage" oil does.
"Extra anti-wear additive helps protect critical engine parts.
Reduces the sludge and deposits that conventional oils can leave behind.
Contains a special seal conditioner to help recondition seals and prevent leaks.
Higher viscosity formula helps reduce oil burn-off and leakage."
Nope, I don't see where it says it will blow up your car. Go ahead and use it.

The high mileage formulas are better (in general) for engines that tend to consume oil ... regardless of odometer reading. This is especially true of Mobil 1.

thanks.. i fugured that was the case but i did read somewhere that the additives in the high mileage oil helps swell up the seals ... which on a low mileage motor will actually cause it to swell too much and possible affect it negatively .... im gonna use it and then go back to my regular oil .

I'm thinking that these "high milage" formulas would be good for everyone to use on a periodic basis such as every 2nd ,3rd ,4th change etc. The plus's listed should benefit newer as well as older engines. How often or continuelly would be by choice and totally subjective.
