Arrow Mobil 1

So I've been using Mobil 1 clean 5000 for my oil changes. I was under the impression that this was synthetic oil It only cost about $3.00 so I was like wow! Long story short...it's not. hahahaha. Luckily I have never put synthetic oil in the car since I have owned it. I look forward to adding synthetic for my next oil change

Note: Mobil 1 Clean 5000 is not a synthetic oil

Actually, it's Mobil Drive Clean not Mobil 1 Drive Clean. Anyway, no big deal. From what I understand, "Genuine Honda Motor Oil" as sold at North American dealers in the white quart bottles is Mobil Drive Clean.

This stuff

IMO it seems to do fine. If the dealers use it then it must be OK

I bought a case of Mobil 1 the other day and the Mobil clean was very tempting. I just didnt want to switch to a non synthetic.

The honda manual say go 7,500 before changing to 100% synoil IIRC. All the tests done on synoil that I have read, puts mobile one in the middle in most every catagory, however its still a good oil but there are better synoils around, and M1 can be bought just about everywhere, and is its not to expensive ether.

gookie...do what the manual recommends. I think you need to keep the original oil in the car for quite a while.

and for thr OP...big dummy! But glad you figured it out eventually
