The stuff I'm running is an older product, it's called Amsoil Series 2000 75w-90 Gear Lube. I had a case of it laying around (forgot I even had it). It's GL-4/5 rated. As I said before, shifts like butter, even better than stock (which was very good). I have a problem paying the mark-up factories like Honda charge for a product made by someone else that usually isn't as good as a premium race oriented product. What are you guys paying for Honda MTF?

I have the new formulated version in now, it is smoother. I change it every 10k though, about 2 years. My recollection is about 8-10 bucks?

I think it was around $14 for 2 quarts the last time I bought it. That's about 1/2 the price of GMSMFM.

I am using Eneos 75w90, feels perfect.
Thought about this, prior to Honda MTF. How long have you been running Eneos? What was the interval of your first change? How does it compare to Honda MTF? in your opinion of course

Thanks.

Based on that response I would get out your fluid ASAP and put in the right stuf, I think synchros are brass? Amsoil does make an MTF, my father uses it in his s2000.

As far as I know the brass synchros on the AP1 were replaced with CF on the AP2

The Honda MTF apparently shears fairly quickly, gear oils are much better in that respect
