Hi all,

I have been living with this rattle from my rear end for the last 6 months and finally got the car up on stands. I was able to locate the "buzz" noise coming from the rear end and first thought it was from the cat heat shield but today I noticed it coming directly from the right rear muffler. I am attaching a video of the noise I took this afternoon and was wondering if anyone on here has experienced this issue before or has any advice on how to fix it. I don't believe I will need to replace the entire muffler but at this point I just want it gone.

Look for someone locally who might be selling one. Typically they are cheap $100 or less. Or get something other then OEM. The baffle inside the muffler sounds like its separated, there is no way to fix that, just replace it.

 

Top of this Forum in the DIY,FAQ, Maintenace thread sticky. "Official found the rattle thread". You seem sure it's under the car. My first thought at those RPM's is a loose wing nut holding the spare tire.
