^^^ya i realized that a non sealing gas cap does that but i was just curious if there might have been another reason? i guess if i put more thought into the fact that the IAC is on the intake mani and not a gas tank i wouldnt sound as stupid as i do right now....derdader

But one question i do have is, im no my 3rd gas cap within a year. The only time my check light comes on is when the caps not on all the way. Its like the factory caps wear our supper easy because they will only tighten so much before just wearing out(clicking, and refusing to tighten).
I was thinking there was a problem with the female threds that the cap screws into....could that be the problem as to why my gas caps are continuing to go bad.....its a waste of money, $50 dollers a cap xP
Or are there stronger gas caps than OEM, or do i just sound stupid again?

Keep in mind i do what the cap sayss (hah) i unscrew slowly and tighten until snug slowly trying to avoide 3 clicks....im not wrenching on it like a gorilla.
There's a TSB that covers this problem. It's the fuel filler tube. I had mine replaced by the dealer for free. Since it's an emissions issue, you might still be able to get it covered as well.

This happended to me as well. After I got the new fuel filler tube, it never happened again.

That TSB is related to 1456, not 1457.
