Bingo.. I'm betting on MAINT REQD, not the CEL/MIL. If it's the CEL/MIL then stop driving the car NOW, otherwise, just reset the MAINT REQD light after you perform the required maintenance, if it hasn't been done already (it's a dumb system, it doesn't know if you've already changed the oil, etc, so you have to reset it).
