Well i might be of some help as i just had my diff replaced under warrenty last week. I started hearing some loud noises coming from the rear of my car and on day a guy in a e36 M3 wanted to race. I down shifted, heard a loud noise and noticed when ever the car moved you could feel it vibrating and clanking from the diff. I had to car towed to a Honda dealer, told them what happened, well i left out the part about the M3, and they got the approval to replace it under warrenty. My car had about 15.5k miles on it at the time, and i has seen more then its fair share of high RPM clutch drops. I say take it to the dealer, tell them what happened, but don't tell them you raced the thing. Thats the first thing they tried to get out of me when i was at the dealer. They kept saying are you sure you wern't racing. Hope i could help some.
