So I just bought my first S2k from a car lot. It has a Greddy T518Z turbo kit. My problem is that its making this weird noise like an "alien spaceship" kind of noise or like a whirling sound. It's coming from the back of the car, so my guess is that its the fuel pump. Whenever it gets really hot the sound gets worse and worse. It also is running really rich. So I know I am also going to need a good tune. Does anybody have any suggestions?? It sucks to pick up a car with problems but I've done alot of research and it sounds like S2k's are worth it.

 

Yeah, could be the fuel pump alright. The typical Walboro 255's people like to use for what ever reason are really noisy. And as the fuel pump becomes more exposed as fuel gets used up, its sound would be less dampened I would think. I seem to recall that a bit when I had one in my car. If you can verify that's where the noise is coming from (Remove the trunk divider where the spare tire is and stick your head back there) Replace it with a Full Blown 340 fuel pump. Its quiet like Stock and better fuel delivery.
