My steering wheel clicks!?!?!
Okay, so you get the gist of it. Here's the explanation:
When I turn it to the right (between 45 and 90 degrees) I'll hear a subtle, but continuous, series of clicks. After I pass a certain point, it's gone. I don't think it clicks on the way back to center, or in the other direction (left), but I may be wrong. It seems like the intensity is constant no matter what, but the frequency is directly related to the speed at which I turn the wheel.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? I am in the dark and can't take anything else wrong with the car. I can't afford it anymore...holes in the top (soon, I can't wait), new differential, new axles, rebuilt engine, dealer broke the little white plastic piece that holds the shift boot to the transmission tunnel. I can't take this kind of pressure.

I think I know what you are talking about. In Ford vehicles they are
called clocksprings. They power the air bag and cruise control buttons in vehicles equipped with them. The contact points get worn sometimes and make a clicking sound usually to one side only. I dont know what
Honda calls them. They are located right behind the air bag in the steering column. Just a guess.

On a FWD car, you might be in the right ballpark. A S2000 is RWD, the axles and boots are in the rear of the car. They do not pivot while turning like a FWD car. Don't you work at a dealer?
As far as your noise goes, You either have the plastic column covers hitting the steering wheel, a sticking turn signal cancelling cam or the most likely cause is a damaged SRS cable reel. If your car is still under warranty, and hasn't been in an accident where the airbags deployed, Th cable reel is a coverd item.
As far as your lock ring over the shifter goes, The service manual isn't real clear about removal, and It's a real B*tch to take out without breaking.
