need advice on the clutch

i think you could have fixed it by bleeding the clutch.

i was showing leakage in the master cylinder, and the mechanic wanted to replace the master cylinder, but i asked him to bleed the clutch first to see if that would fix it. he adamantly refused saying he's absolutely sure i need to replace the master cylinder, and would not bleed the clutch even if i paid him, saying it was a waste of time.

so i bled the clutch myself and have never had a problem since. this was 3 years ago.

damn. For peace of mind purposes, I think I'll just tell myself that the master cylinder was definitely broken and the tech did his job right lol
