Default Need advice...Possible misfire (video)

Hey guys I think I have my very first problem on my 2002 with 45,000 miles. It seems that I am getting some misfiring after the engine gets hot, especially after some spirited driving but only at idle. During acceleration I do not notice anything unusual and after idling a few minutes the misfiring goes away almost completely. I have no check engine lights so it hard for me to determine if its the injectors (for swapping purposes). Car is completely stock except for K&N FIPK.

I have done a TON of reading and searching on this issue and have done the following so far:
- Put all new spark plugs in
- Map whack and zip tie fix
- Cleaned K&N
- New PCV valve
- Compression test (200psi right across the board)

Here is a link to a video I recorded of my car at idle after some spirted driving. It does not capture the misfires the best however you can hear the intermittent puffs that come out of the tailpipes. I am not sure what to do next, any advice would be greatly appreciated as it does not seem many have had quite this same problem with no CEL or anything like that.

Save yourself some trouble and buy some used injectors off the board.

I know it's the injectors, do you?

What makes me say this? I had the same problem... Intermittent puff out of the exhaust on idle was my best description.

Well this is the next thing on my list based on my research. I am not sure where to buy used injectors or have mine reconditioned. It is kind of a few dollars to spend if I don't need them just to "test", especially when I don't even have a CEL. My honda dealer wants 230$ CAN per injector however I can order them online from majestic for 98$ each....still a few dollars just to test this situation.

That's why I suggest buying "used injectors". I got some from the for sale section here for 60$ for 4 (30 00 miles on them). That would be a option to save money unless someone sends you bad injectors.

I figure, buy used, send the old one to get flow tested and fixed. Comes out cheaper and you have 2 sets.

Are you sure your CEL light works?

hope this helps buddy

Yes I am sure...a vacuum line slipped off when I was swapping intakes and I had a CEL right away.

Are you getting a CEL?

Take a look in the FAQ DIY for the Misfire Thread. There is a troubleshooting guide.

No I am not getting any CEL at all. I will take a look at this guide but I am leaning towards injectors as my next step. Can anyone confirm that injectors from a 2006 fit in a 2002? I checked with Honda and they have different part numbers.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but can you confirm if fuel injectors fixed your puff/rough idle?

Thanks!
