need help!

Default need help!

i have a 00 with about 75k on it, it is giving me codes for misfire in cylinder 1, 2, 3, AND 4 and every once in a wile it will start ticking! it has done this once befor but it all went away and the car has been fine for about a month. about 2 days ago it started up again and is runing like shit and has a realy rough idle! any ideas??

Search on misfire in this forum or the "p" codes. But try the following one at a time till the misfire codes do not come back once they are cleared:

Replace plugs (OEM only)
Replace coil packs
Replace injectors

i have replaced the plugs already and have cleaned the injectors. the coil packs are next on the list. but what about the ticking that it is making? if i get on the car it will go away sometimes but then other times it doesnt!?

no i have never over revd! the ticking almost sounds like its coming from the injectors but i cant tell for sure.

The ticking may be unrelated. But do a compression test just to make sure you don't have a bent valve...since you are probably not the car's 1st owner, it may have been over revved previously and the valve has now dropped far enough to tap a piston head but not break.
