Driving down freeway about 80mph my car started making a knock in my oil light was flickering on in off.I pulled off freeway at gas station popped hood checked oil my oil was low low I looked no leaks anywhere. Idk where it all went my car will start up in idel fine. But if I give gas or push clutch pedal in car knocks loud. Any idea's I put oil back in car and still knocks.

sounds like you ran the car low on oil and toasted the rod bearings which is now giving you rod knock. Pull the oil pan and look for bearing shavings. Usually once that oil light lights up (low oil pressure) your motor is pretty much done unless you shut it off asap and had it towed. How much oil did you add?

Rod bearing failure, start looking for a new motor. You ran it too low on oil

Not checking your oil just ran you over $4500 dollars. It sucks but hopefully you will take care of your car from now on.

Hate to say it but everyone here is right. Engine noise is rod knock and that means new engine . AP1's are known to sip oil, especially under high rpm right(I think?) turns, when it typically produces white smoke. They really should make a service bulletin warning owners to check oil levels weekly or delete/plug their pcv valve.

i really, really wish you guys would start checking your oil on a weekly/bi-weekly basis and after beating on the car a good amount...im tired of seeing these threads and it just makes me sad

Agree, this makes me want to check mine now but, I know its fine.

AWWHITE s2k : didn't you have plans for a 2.4L stroker kit?

Yes but no money just I just went in bought brand new rpf'1 in had them Powdercoated white with new tires now ill have to part my car out for a new motor
