A shortblock from honda would be the baller way to do it. I think they go for about 2500-3000. But you could always pick up a service mnual and learn how to rebuild it. All the tools wouldn't cost you more than a few hundred dollars. The parts for the engine probably wouldn't cost to much depending on how much damage was done. I'm assuming the engine still runs, justs makes alot of noise.

sounds like he has a hole is his block man, he is going to need a new block, including all internals....

if I were you I would search for a good condition used engine

ya i got some holes in the block so im gonan need a new bottom, i was thinking of just getting a new short block from honda and repairing any damage that the head may have gone trough bent valves, Etc.. i was considering a used motor and doing a swap but seems like all the ones in the 3k range are high miles and i dont know what it has been trough, its to much of a gamble for me, what do you guys think?
