It started a few months back - the CEL would illuminate after about 200 miles of driving and then turn itself back off again for another 200 miles or so. The problem has now progressed so that the CEL is illuminated constantly. When checking the CEL "blink" codes, it indicated that the problem was a P0117 and/or P0118. The coolant temp gauge indicates normally (7/8 bars). I changed the coolant temp sensor - that wasn't the problem, changed the thermostat - that wasn't a problem either. Coolant system is properly bled.

It seems that the CEL may be illuminating when the radiator cooling fans turn on. If I reset the CEL, drive a bit, bring the car to a stop for a few minutes, I'll hear a click, the CEL illuminates and the fans turn on. Yes, the fans seem to turn on when they're supposed to.

So, any ideas as to what the problem is?
