Default Need Opinions

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a 2001 s2000 back in july. Needless to say i am in love with this car, and its my pride in joy. For the past day or so i noticed that my clutch is slipping and when i go to engage on accelerator is revs high rpms but doesnt pull the right amount leaving me feel like im driving a civic. I know for a fact its my clutch cause i can smell the burning of the clutch. I bought the car for 15k and at 62k miles. It is my daily driver and i intend to it to be for the next year until i get out of school.

My main question is do i go back to a plain stock oem clutch or do i buy a exedy racing clutch on amazon for $300?
I heard if i buy a too good of a clutch kit that it would mess with my rear diff?

I do plan on going to boost but not for the next year or so, and i am clustered on if i should buy a stock clutch kit or get a exedy one of amazon.

if anyone can help me out that would be awesome!

P.S. I am new to all this forums and this car, so please go easy on me lol.

thanks everyone

belive it or not I used a XTD clutch set from ebay and it has worked like a champ for me... isnt crazy but it does the job on and off boost... dont go to hard on a cluch if you are rocking OEM but it was not that expensive and it does a good job for me..... to tell you the truth OEM one would be fine for now if you dont plan on going to boost for a bit . just giving you another option.... BTW they suck to change..lol

If you don't plan to mod, I'd stick with OEM, however you wont hurt it if you decide to go with Exedy's Mach 100/200 (or whatever their lowest spec is for the S). If you want to mod, find a clutch rated for a power goal you are aiming at and go with that.
