Default Need some input

Anyone ever have this issue? I have never had to deal with the knock sensor before. Clearly there is something wrong with it though as of recent, becuase it will come back on after just a few miles of clearing the code with my OBD2 reader. Is it safe to say I just need to replace it, or is there something else I can do to resolve? I hear its a bitch to get to, and they aren't exactly cheap either. Any input/experience you may have would be appreciated.

I would replace it especially if you already tried erasing the code for it.

Did you just have transmission/clutch/starter work done?

It is common for people who are not familiar with the car to break it while working with the upper starter bolt.

Ive heard of this. I did have a certified master Honda mechanic do a clutch job for me, but that was about 8k miles ago. Thought it was strange that out of no where I would have this problem. Is this sensor fixable... or is it a safe bet with this code it needs to be replaced? Thanks.

If he was a master he wouldnt have broken your knock sensor I can almost guarantee he fractured it.

if you dont knowledge about it up front, you are pretty much guaranteed to break it.
