Default New mod from Japan? POWERED EARTH CABLE

OK...So what the hell are these:

http://www.takakaira.co.jp/performance/tmw...works/main.html

They have an application for the S2K.

From what I understand sounds like "performance" ground cables (WTF). I wonder how it can produce better response or power.

Any ideas?

That's the same place that sells a speaker that produces a noise similar to a blow off valve.

It sure sounds like a cable-extender system for the negative side of a battery. I assume that would guarantee proper grounding of sensitive components.

Normally the negative side of the battery is connected somewhere on the vehicle chassis. That is a convenience (and weight?) feature. All electrical components can then be grounded by screwing into the chassis instead of running another wire. This is usually sufficient but if you are trying to ground something at a location that has a resistive connection to the chassis (or you have a non-conductive composite chassis) you'll lose some energy. Running a separate ground wire could help in that situation. I doubt it helps properly functioning OEM wiring.

How do I say this nicely...it's CRAP! MARKETING CRAP!

First off, they claim 97% pure copper...most speaker cable from K-mart has a better purity rating. Second, the claim 0.007 MOhms per km (which is 7 kiloOhms per kilometer)...what they MEANT to say was 0.007 milliohms...and if that copper is only 97% pure, I SERIOUSLY doubt they'll get that low of a resistance. I'm not even going to guess what they meant with that statement about the headlamps being brighter...

As a side note, they charge 3% solely to use a credit card, an illegal practice (at least in the US). Company's are not allowed to charge a fee solely for the use of a credit card for payment...they have to recover the cost using other charges/fees.

Anyway, this stuff has been discussed here before. A car is considered a floating ground (i.e., no direct connection with the Earth), so this system can do absolutely NOTHING for you.
